Does anyone think that a boxer could last in the UFC???

seriously now, i've seen some closed questions about this. lets look at it in an objective light. first of all and most obvious, a boxer isn't gonna know what to do when someone shoots in on him. Also he's not gonna have any defense against holds or takedowns. Second, while some boxing fans are gonna cast derision on kicks, they have a lot longer range and the boxer is gonna get caught with leg kicks all day. Lastly there's a huge difference in the 4 oz. gloves used in the UFC and the 12 oz. gloves in boxing. There's alot of wrist support in those boxing gloves and none in the grappling gloves, a boxer would have to learn how to punch all over again,

Does anyone think that a boxer could last in the UFC???
About as likely as Floyd Mayweather returning a Roger Federer serve. These sports are very different, but the UFC knuckleheads want to keep the comparison going in the hopes of siphoning dollars from boxing. While we're at it, I bet Roger Clemens could strike out Tiger Woods and John Cena would lay the smackdown on Peyton Manning.
Reply:this question is obsolete. its the same as asking if a ufc fighter can last in a boxing match. they are totally different sports..get your mind right.
Reply:About as long as a UFC fighter would last in a boxing ring.
Reply:Why would they fight anyway.

I'll rather watch a boxer fight another boxer.

Bring your UFC questions with you, boxing fans are not

interested.
Reply:No because there is more to the UFC than just boxing.
Reply:He sure can win but minus the grappling and holding. I love to watch UFC when its a stand up fight but when both fighters were on ground the become boring as mayweather running de la joya.
Reply:ill put it like this anybody in the ufc would get beat down in the boxing ring just like any boxer would in the octagon. some say boxing is boring when boxers run what about when ufc guys just lay on top of each other trying to get a mount no punching just holding that's bull to i hate it when i see them guys sometime because it looks sloppy as well no technique just aggression that's bull to so i wouldn't try to compare to diff rent things because the bottom line is everyone likes what they like but if it goes to looking ugly and wild or technique and beauty at times the beauty will always win and who wants to see two men on top of each other hugging and all that lol that's soft.
Reply:A boxer would have a chance if he was fast and can grapple. and got in a fast lucky punch, UFC would win
