Every Asian I met trashed wrestling,saying its useless in street fights.But the Army and Marine martial arts use wrestlin a lot!Wrestling was always one of the martial arts European and North American armies taught to their soldiers in military training!Wrestling has been used by European,Persian,Turkish,and Arab armies during the Middle Ages and the time of ancient Persia,ancient Greece,and ancient Rome!Even the Vikings used wrestling in warLong before Jujitsu and Judo came,wrestling was the grappling martial art used by gangsters and cops!Even today,cops and gangsters use it!Wrestling is definitely the easiest grappling art to learn and the most effective grappling martial art ever!
Why don`t Asians respect the martial art of wrestling?

Reply:Asians are traditionally smaller than westerners, so they respect more scientific methods like jiu - jitsu to maximize their ability with leverage. Westerners are bigger, so they respect brute strength and size more. Just the way it is.
