Grapple Apples?

I bought some 'Grapples' at Wal-Mart and they taste really good! On the box thing it said that it 'Looks Like an Apple and Tastes Like a Grape', thats not really true though. However they are VERY sweet and crunchy and I was just wondering exactly what kind of apples are they?

They have a very bright beautiful red bottom and at the top is orangey-yellow and slightly greenish at the stem. Overall it is small and very round in size. Any guesses on what they are?

Grapple Apples?
The Grapples we get here are apples injected with grape juice. We get several different varieties of them.
Reply:Mmmm, they are good! They are either a mutated apple specimen or an artifically flavored apple.
Reply:Perhaps you are thinking of the Fiji Apple.
Reply:Famous in CHINA
Reply:You might want to stop eating them. They could be dangerous.
Reply:First thing you shouldn't be doing is shopping for Grapples at Wal-Mart. Don't you know by now that Wal-Mart has the best jewelry and lingerie selections that you should not be buying a grapple there.

Really, Grapples are grapple flavor infused Fuji apples.

Enjoy and watch out next for banana flavored strawberries, then we will have people enjoying all the fruits of the earth and then some!! But whatever you decide to do just buy your lingerie at Wal-Mart.
Reply:Grāpple® brand apples begin as a Washington Extra Fancy Fuji Apple. Of all apples this is the one that takes on the grape flavor best.

This Patent Pending process is complex and the ingredient mix primarily includes concentrated grape flavor and pure water. All ingredients are USDA and FDA approved and the process has been licensed by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.

There is nothing but flavor being infused into the Fuji apple. The apple takes on no additional sugars or calories. They are not genetically altered in any way.

The apple is as healthy as ever but now has the new exciting grape flavor.
Reply:They sound like a hybrid fruit. I am looking at the fact that the packaging said they are, (but you say are not), like grapes.

Grape apples, crab apples, grapple apples!
