Old UFC have to wear gloves?

Old UFC, did they have to wear gloves? All I remember is no hitting below the belt.. I can't remember them wearing gloves.





The new UFC looks like a bunch of homos rolling around grappling.. It looks so weak compared to the old stuff. They brought back gracie and he got his *** kicked, WHY? Because hes a martial artist, not a gay wrestler, haha.

Reply:No they didn;t have to wear gloves. The old UFC wasn't MMA, it was martial art vs. martial art. Now its MMA where in order to win, you have to be good at many martial arts. Gracie got his *** kisked cause he's living in the past, thinking he can win with his jiu jitsu. and btw, he looked like a fag in those old fights. Its the style of martial art. ur just insecure. Look at fighters like George St.-Pierre or Rampage Jackson. Are they gay wrestlers when they stand up and punch ur face in?
Reply:They DID bring back royce gracie, he lost against Sakuraba, then lost to Matt Hughes.





He fought again against Sakuraba, and won a bullcrap decision, and then turned positive on steroids, he's been suspended to fight.





Old UFC only allowed to use ONE glove, and the rules were minimal (no eye gauging or grapple hooking the mouth), as soon as fighters became more versatile the Gracie's pulled out.

to tell you the truth i wish they would have kept it that way.
Reply:it was up to the fighters the only rules in the original ufc were no biting, eye gouging. low blows were legal. and the boxer chose to only wear 1 glove. Gracie got beat because he's old, got cocky and fought a hell of a fighter.

Reply:Well first of all, homo-phobe, we are a little more civilized now, the gloves are to prevent broken hands and fingers. If you think the "rolling around" is easy feel free to show your skills. Gracie got his --- kicked because he can't take a punch. He has great BJJ skill because he is BJJ (not a martial artists-there are no kata's in BJJ). The fights now requires knowledge of several styles. Royce won't learn anything new. Thats his downfall.
