Can you make martial arts mat at home?

i'm looking for a way to make martial arts mats for grappling and some falls from about 6 feet

Can you make martial arts mat at home?
You cannot. Buying a mat is cheaper than the emergency room bills you'll face when you bust an arm or your head.
Reply:absolutely use a pool lining and fold it in 1/2 sow 2 edges and fill it with saw dust it's cheap and also seamless witch is nice too
Reply:Check out craigslist.com . . . in my area some gyms are selling their used mats for really cheap. Worth a shot!
Reply:I say your best bet is just go to a store that deals in martial arts or tumbling supplies and buy some actual mats They'll cost you a little extra but with the money you'll save by avoiding hospital bills for broken ankles or whatever they will pay for themselves.
Reply:a good Idea, especially at this time of year, is to approach local high schools and colleges that have wrestling programs and offer to buy thier old mats at a discount.

the other option is to go to a mat company like (mats mats mats) and buy reconditioned mats.
