How do you know if you are underweight, how do you gain weight if you are?

I am currently 5 feet tall and weigh in at 110 pounds. I was just wondering if I was underweight. I don't believe that I have an eating problem, but I do engage in a lot of cardio activity. Running every day, practice grappling and kick boxing, push ups, sit ups, ect. Pretty much everything other then weight lifting.

If I starting to lift weights as well would I gain a few pounds?

How do you know if you are underweight, how do you gain weight if you are?
just because the average person is overweight doesn't mean you should try to increase your weight to be like them, your weight is quite fine for your height

give your muscles two days rest between tearing them down and you might be able to put some muscular bulk onto yourself, if you are constantly exercising and using the same mucles, they won't grow much in size and weight, but you will become stronger and have substantially more endurance as well as energy
Reply:If you aren't going for muscle mass, you should be taking nutritional suppliments (vitamins) and eating nutritionally to boost your weight (increased nutrition can add 10 lbs. to a light frame, as opposed to dropping weight for a heavy one) Report It

Reply:check out the BMI online

lifting weights will help you gain a few pounds
